Philosophy
Community Development for The Next Generation
As a licensed childcare centre, the goal is to provide quality programs and learning environments for children as well as create positive experiences for families as a whole.
Overall, guidelines and procedures are required to ensure the centre is safe and consistent for each family that enters its doors. Regulations outlined by the Ministry of Education, Early Years Branch, as well as The Childcare Act (2015) must be adhered to.

As childcare providers and staff members, we incorporate a variety of learning environments within the indoor and outdoor space of the centre. Each environment is established with intentionality to help develop physical, intellectual, social, and emotional skillsets. Learning environments allow for structured and unstructured play, aiding in a myriad of skills from building creativity and having autonomy to listening and working within a group.

The Choiceland Cooperative Childcare Centre prides itself on a philosophy and Code of Ethics to:
-
Provide a safe, welcoming environment for parents/caregivers, children, staff, community members, and outside agencies
-
Respect staff, children, and facility
-
Maintain professionalism and advocate for learning and growth
-
Consider diverse backgrounds that exist within our community and surrounding areas
-
Provide children with the opportunity to grow within a positive environment that builds physical, intellectual, social, and emotional competencies
